Tobacco Targets Youth: An evening with La Tanisha Wright

El Paso County Public Health and Kaiser Permanente are hosting a free community event to explore the problem of youth tobacco use and how the tobacco industry targets youth, minorities and low-income communities. La Tanisha Wright, a former tobacco industry insider, will expose tobacco industry retail marketing tactics employed by Big Tobacco, and discuss how people can take action to protect children in their communities against tobacco addiction. Wright will specifically touch on how the tobacco industry targets youth, minorities and low-income communities. Immediately following Wright's presentation, community members are invited to participate in a town hall meeting, featuring a panel of local experts. Panelists will engage our community in a dialogue about how to protect youth from becoming life-long tobacco users.
