Stingingly funny, heartfelt, and poignant, Ugly Lies the Bone follows the return of Jess from Afghanistan after being discharged from the army.
Having suffered burns across her body, she must learn to manage the pain of her injuries as well as the complications and irritations of the life she left behind.
