In this class we will examine two of the major extremist movements in Africa,Boko Haramin Nigeria and Al Shababin Somalia. We will discuss their origins, their connections to Al Qaeda and ISIL, and the extent of their impact on the continent. No understanding of international terrorist movements is complete without considering the violent extremism in Africa
