Walk With Me: A Requiem for the Streets

The Music and Arts Ministry at First Congregational Church invites all to Walk With Me: A Requiem for the Streets, a concert in memory of the 59 (+) individuals who lost their lives while living on the streets of El Paso County in 2018.

The concert will feature John Rutter’s Requiem. In addition to the Requiem, we will share songs of both lament and celebration for our community; we will hear the stories of those who have experienced homelessness in El Paso County; and we will listen for God’s call on our lives to help house the homeless among us.

An offering will be collected with all proceeds going to alleviate homelessness in Colorado Springs.

All are invited to join with us for this concert as audience and as performer.

We are creating a Community Choir and we want you to join us. Come to our rehearsal on May 28 (5:30 p.m.), share in some food and fellowship, learn a couple of songs (including John Rutter’s fantastic arrangement of “When the Saints Go Marching In“), and join us as we celebrate the lives of folks who might otherwise be forgotten.
