World's Greatest Gold Camp Historical Trolley Tour

On Memorial Day, the Historical Trolley Tour of Gold Camp begins!

Check-in at the Train Car Welcome Center in the Cripple Creek District Museum parking lot and start your historical and interactive tour from the seat of the trolley.

This one hour and forty-minute tour aboard one of the Cripple Creek trolleys gives a comprehensive look into the important history of the towns of Cripple Creek and Victor and also provides a look at gold mining, both past, and present.

Watch inmates escape from the Jail Museum or men sneak away from the Old Homestead House.

Drive through Cripple Creek before making a trip to Victor, our sister town, where you’ll pass by Victor Lowell Thomas Museum and make a stop at the Victor Ag and Mining Museum.

Shortly after you’ll make the short drive back to Cripple Creek, but not before stopping at the Newmont Outlook where guests can climb in the bed of a haul truck and observe surface mining in action.

The tour is guided by the Cripple Creek Victorian Society and there are appearances by key historic people throughout. Don’t miss this incredible journey into the historic past of the Pikes Peak region.

Tours are on the every Saturday of the month at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm throughout the summer, ending Labor Day weekend.
