Connecting Things is an event series for creatives and doers.

Forgetting what a voice other than Siri’s sounds like? It’s time to get back out into the real world and remember how great sunshine and in-person LOLZing feels.

Connecting Things is a monthly event series taking place where doers and creatives can hang out, eat and drink together, and talk shop.

Connecting Things is not a hardball networking group. They don’t expect to change participants’ lives through one event. They just hope to stir up routines and make participants pause and think about how and why they do what they do. Likely the attendees will leave with a new perspective, a new friend, or at least a new excuse for coming into work late.

Connecting Things was forged out of 9 friends feeling that creatives and entrepreneurs in their community needed a place where they could share, learn, and start collaborations that feed their skills and passions; they wanted a safe place in this dog eat dog world where transparency was valued and encouraged.

Creating is as simple as connecting things. Connecting people with products creates a market; connecting designs with a company creates a brand feeling; connecting consumers with services creates a relationship; connecting volunteers with a cause creates a movement; connecting efforts with quality creates satisfaction.

No matter what line people walk for work, some part of it requires creating something. Disconnecting from the world people are creating for is the worst thing anyone could do.
