Friends of the Uncle Wilber Fountain

Friends of the Uncle Wilber Fountain is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to stewarding the Uncle Wilber Fountain for all who visit and live in downtown Colorado Springs.

We are an all volunteer organization; 100% of all donations are used to support fountain operations. Friends of the Fountain was founded at the time the Uncle Wilber Fountain was gifted to our community by the Smokebrush Foundation for the Arts.

Our mission is to preserve and promote the Uncle Wilber Fountain as free and inclusive public art, designed to inspire creativity and foster community in downtown Colorado Springs. We work hand-in-hand with the City of Colorado Springs’ Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services to identify needs and support the maintenance, operation, and ongoing improvement of the Uncle Wilber Fountain and its home grounds, Acacia Park.
