The Pikes Peak Weavers Guild (PPWG) was formed in 1959 by a collection of weavers who wanted to collaborate with like-minded people and support each other in preserving the textile traditions of weaving, spinning and dyeing.

Spinning (twisting) fibers into long strands of usable yarns in a variety of weights, dyeing yarns with plant based and synthetic materials, and weaving those yarns to produce lengths of cloth allow us to connect with the textile history of various cultures and bring those art forms forward in unique and imaginative ways.

Because education is a major component of our charter, members of the PPWG also engage in community outreach by providing demonstrations/instruction during community events and participating in art exhibitions in Colorado Springs and outlying areas that promote an appreciation for one-of-a-kind textiles.
