Summit Scribes is a group of calligraphers, lettering artists, bookmakers, and hobbyists of all levels who gather monthly in Colorado Springs to study lettering, the book arts, and related topics. The guild was formed in 1986 and currently has over 50 and hosted the 32nd International Calligraphy Conference in 2013 on the campus of Colorado College.

The guild meets year-round in the upper level of the Toppin Bldg at Mesa Hills Bible Church. Summit Scribes hosts weekend workshops a couple of times a year when well-known calligraphers come from around the world to teach something having to do with lettering or backgrounds. Members of the guild occasionally teach workshops at the FAC’s Bemis School of Art, local libraries and in their homes.
