Youth Documentary Academy

The Youth Documentary Academy (YDA) is mission-driven to provide opportunities in the art of filmmaking to the under-served youth of Colorado Springs. YDA is purposeful in providing a learning environment that is non-judgmental, diverse, and welcoming. This allows youth to dig deep, find their story, and therefore, find their voice. Through the process of making a film, students find courage, confidence, and drive to be active and engaged members of the community.
