Steve Scheller is a jazz guitarist who currently teaches guitar and ensembles at the Broadmoor Academy of Music in Colorado Springs. Steve has recorded eight CD's, and currently leads the Steve Scheller Jazz Group in Colorado, performing standards by the likes of Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, as well as his own Jazz material. His music has taken him to St Louis, Chicago, Manhattan, Milwaukee, Madison, Minneapolis, Denver, and even Africa. Steve has performed with Jazz star Jamie Davis, multi-instrumentalist David Amram, and has studied with Frank Gambale, Greg Fishman, Brad Leali, Jack Grassell, Mark Kondrackie, and extensively studied the work of Tuck Andress, Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Bruno, Mickey Baker, and Bruce Buckingham. His past bands include The Crayons, Dr Tone & The Rhythm Thang, Zoco and Open Mind.
