Jody Adams is a singer/songwriter journeyman-instrumentalist who grewup as a child, surrounded by music. He's often heard commenting that he had no idea the roots of his musical-raisin' would still be in such demand today. That is truly a blessing to share and he's grateful for every supporter and person who has encouraged him and those he's met along the way. He's also confessed, "Secondarily to Almighy God and my family....I can't really 'not' do this music thing....it's what drives me on a daily basis."
EXTENDED PRESS BIO: Adams is a multi-instrumentalist & repeat winner of songwriting contests throughout America. Adams has toured and worked with several acoustic and Americana groups within the last two decades. Most notably he has shared the stage with Alabama, Wade Hayes, The Osborne Brothers, Mac Wiseman, Dennis Agajanian, Chubby Wise, Doyle Lawson, Lee Greewood, James Monroe, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Carl Story, and Ricky Skaggs. He has released seven acoustic/folk CDs.
DOWN-HOME HISTORY: Growing up in an acoustic-string environment, Adams' influences range from Flatt and Scruggs to Bob Wills, New Christy Minstrels, to Merle Haggard and the Stanley Brothers, as well as, Saturday Night Grand Ole Opry performances on the radio and television, where he was actually able to perform one day. His compositions highlight various tones of these influences based on the various sub-genres he's performing within at any given time.
