Nina creates with warm glass, stained glass, ceramics, and textiles to create her unique pieces.

Nina grew up in El Paso, Texas where she begged her mother to teach her to sew before the age of 8. She learned to knit and crochet from her mother also. She was introduced to warm glass by her sister who has been working with glass for more than 30 years.

Nina was taught how to make glass "fabric" using powdered enamels on glass. Using sgraffito ("scratching through") with beautifully colored glass powders, she creates unique colors and designs in window glass.
