There has never been a time in my life that I have been without art. It was not until I was in my mid-twenties and moved to Colorado that the fire was fully ignited.  My very first watercolor class was at the Bemis Art School with Tom Owens as the instructor. Over the years I studied with him, Sparky LeBold, Lorraine Danzo, Laura Reilly and Chuck Mardosz and many others,  It was with their support and guidance that I began to call myself an artist.  Although I have painted  oils, acrylics and watercolor, watercolor has become my preferred medium,  My favorite subjects are animals, people and nature.  I always hope that my paintings "capture a moment" or tell a story but that is left to the beholder.  I also feel my subject matter is somewhat whimsical and, hopefully, makes others smile.  I know it is one of my passions and makes me smile.

I have participated in many local and state shows and will never forget the exhilaration of my first "honorable mention" at the state fair in Pueblo and my first sale.
