Cathleen Savage (born Cathleen Cavanaugh, 1960) is an American wildlife and nature painter currently working in watercolor. Her paintings are often described as luminous and delicate, and as having a calming, restorative effect on the viewer.

Cathleen began painting and drawing at an early age. She attended the Chesapeake Demonstration School, an experimental ungraded school in Chesapeake, Virginia, that emphasized the fine arts. Private painting lessons taught her traditional painting skills and instilled in her a love for realism that she still favors today. Cathleen also studied studio art at the University of Virginia where she learned printmaking.

Since becoming a full-time artist in 2014, her watercolors have been exhibited in state, national, and international venues and her paintings are held in private collections in the United States and Europe. Cathleen is a member of the Society of Animal Artists, an international organization that promotes excellence in the artistic portrayal of the creatures sharing our planet. She is also an active member of the Pike’s Peak Watercolor Society. She lives with her husband and three dogs in southern Colorado.
