Lisa Dillmann grew up in rural Vermont, immersed in the natural world around her. Lisa’s father, an architect and artist, influenced her love of art. Her mother’s gardens and love of nature were also an inspiration.

Lisa has a BFA and a teaching degree from the University of Denver in Colorado. She lives in Colorado Springs where the natural beauty and outdoor activities are an important part of her life. Retired after more than thirty years of teaching school, Lisa is pursuing her long desire to paint watercolor. Inspiration comes from travels, nature, and the beauty and life she experiences. She has some invaluable instruction from such famous artists as Robert O’Brien, Buffalo Kaplinsky, Tom Owen, Julie Kirkland, Janet Nunn, Martha Mans, Lorraine Danzo and Patrice Filler.

Lisa is a member of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society. She is currently an exhibiting member of the Boulder Street Gallery. She has shown art at Fare Bella Gallery and exhibited in the 2013 and 2015 juried International Watermedia shows. She has also shown art at the Pikes Peak Center, Colorado Springs Airport, The Stargazer Theater, Cottonwood Center for the Arts, Academy Frames, Boulder Street Gallery, Gold Hill Mesa, and in several libraries in the Pikes Peak region.
