First Christian Church is presenting Rossini’s Stabat Mater for two treble voices.
First Christian Church is presenting Gioachino Rossini’s Stabat Mater, which portrays Mary’s suffering during the crucifixion of Jesus, sung by soprano Jenn Candib and mezzo-soprano Zoe Buxton, accompanied by Carol Wilson on the organ.
Zoe Buxton is a versatile mezzo soprano/contralto, currently studying with Rachel Nicholls in England and Martile Rowland in Colorado Springs.
A music graduate from the University of York, UK, Zoe has sung in large symphony choruses as well as smaller consort ensembles, and has performed as a soloist.
Soprano, Jenn Candib, has performed choral, chamber, medieval/renaissance, and pop over the course of her career.
She is currently a member of the First Christian Church choir and sings in small ensembles.
