Anglum Mock & Greene (aka AMG), the outstanding new Acoustic Americana trio out of Colorado Springs, CO, is made up of three music veterans who have experienced tour stages, song circles, cover bands, recording studios, publishing company deadlines, and innumerable house concerts.
Early in 2018, songwriters Cindy Wheeler Greene and Lewis Mock came together for a co-writing experiment.
The duo quickly invited Sean Anglum to join them, creating a strong songwriting triad…something the three “threatened” to do for many years.
After a relentless summer writing regimen, AMG was suddenly looking at over a dozen solid songs in their portfolio.
When asked to play their songs for concerts in Colorado Springs, the trio found an audience that responded to the AMG songs and sound of alternating lead vocals and rich three-part harmonies.
As 2019 dawned, plans were made to take their original song output to Nashville, TN to record what would be not only their first full-length album, but also a testament to their knack of the songwriting craft.
The album, produced by the inimitable Doug Holmquist of Mastermind Mastering and Heavy Hitter Productions, features “first call” Nashville session players Mark Prentice (bass) and Matt Prentice (drums, percussion).
The album was recorded in a mad six days of sessions at Mastermind Studio. Mixed, designed and packaged over the following months, the album titled One Day Closer was released in the CD and Digital formats in May 2019.
The CD, consisting of 12 strong and versatile songs written and performed by Anglum Mock & Greene, is destined to become an audience favorite.
With an intoxicating Americana mix of country, folk, bluegrass and folk-rock, along with timeless ballads, this collection of AMG songs fully demonstrates the trio’s songwriting talents, while highlighting the vocal blend and the fine acoustic playing of the new trio.
This debut album from Anglum Mock & Greene is now available at the finest recorded music and instrument shops and selected venues around the country.
The CD will also be available online soon from Amazon and CD Baby purchase sites.
