Instructor Bio: Laurie Longberry has been involved with the arts and teaching for twenty five years.
Fifteen of those years as a professional floral designer and the last 8 years as an art instructor. She is the owner of Berry Farm Studios and has a passion for passing skills and a love for the arts to the next generation.
Why I sew: I love things that have been touched by the human hand. I started sewing as a way to decorate my home and create clothing for my children. I have continued to sew as a form of self expression. I love to teach sewing to all ages for the same reasons. It is a great skill to have, and it is yet another way individuals can add their voice to making life better for all.
