To celebrate our 2019-2020 season, the Chamber Orchestra launched a new competition for emerging soloists.
Young musicians around the country competed for an opportunity to solo with the Chamber Orchestra here in beautiful Colorado Springs, giving our community the opportunity to meet one of the music world’s great emerging artists! Our winner is award-winning percussionist, Justin Douté, who completed his Bachelor’s in Music Performance at the University of North Florida after overcoming three leukemia diagnoses. We are thrilled to have him joining us in January to perform Sejourne's stunning Concerto for Marimba.
Adding firepower to a spectacular weekend is UCCS’s Colin McAlister, playing a charming and exciting guitar concerto by Richard Harvey that will be a thrill to new listeners, while the Chamber Orchestra rounds out the program in more familiar territory--Haydn’s humorous and quirky “Clock” Symphony.
Adults: $30
Seniors and Military: $25
