Intro to Painting Seascapes in Oils

Intro to Painting Seascapes in Oils

Presented by Pikes Peak Artist Collective at Pikes Peak Artist Collective

Intro to Painting the Seascape in Oils, taught by local artist Daniel Christie.

From Homer’s Odyssey to Melville’s Moby Dick, saltwater waves have splashed through the pages of literature into our imaginations and have been brought to life for us by great artists like Rembrandt, Gericault, and Aivazovsky. In this workshop, I will guide you through painting a simple seascape, equipping you with helpful tools in realistically portraying that great profundity.
