Presented by Colorado Mountain Man Survival at Colorado Mountain Man Survival

This class has a difficulty of intermediate to advanced and registers must take the prerequisite course of SAR Tracker Level 1.

Level 2 advanced tracking class is a 40 hours hands on instruction program that includes day classes as well as night ops. Students will build upon what they learned in Basic SAR Tracking level 1 and learn more advanced skills to move fast to close the gap and distance of the track maker.

In this class the students will learn more official skills and pressure releases and basics on crime scene investigations. In this class the students will learn how to approach a scene safely and pick up the direction of travel of their target and also learn how to conduct a search for a missing person involving tracking using more advanced tactics.

This class will be a progression of SAR Tracker 1, comprised of all field training to put your skills to the test and learn new techniques to refine your skills as a tracker.
Training to prepare SAR members for urban, rural and night tracking under “ideal” conditions. This course is for the SAR or law enforcement person that has the desire to become a tracker for the purpose of Search & Rescue. It is an intensive course with 4 hours of classroom and 36+ hours in the field.

Based on Jack Kearney’s “Tracking: A Blueprint for Learning How” and developed with his consent, this course teaches all the basics. The class will be held in the mountains just outside of Cripple Creek Colorado.  After class, students are welcome to stay at our established camp and kick their feet up by the campfire. Bring your tent or camper and spend the evenings with us!

This course is highly suitable for Law Enforcement, Forest Rangers, Land Owners, Ranchers, Corrections, SAR, Outdoorsmen, Survivalists, or anybody who loves venturing into the great outdoors.

You can also purchase food locally once you get here. Walmart and several local eateries are a close drive away.
