Dirty Dyeing with Fiber Reactive Dyes

Dirty Dyeing with Fiber Reactive Dyes

Presented by Textiles West at TWIL at the Manitou Art Center

Get down and dirty with this immersion dyeing class that is a bit looser in approach. Students will learn the basics of how to color fabric using a dye bath. It is a good introduction to the process of immersion dyeing, with no mathematical equations to create a reproduceable color. Color is free and loose.

Students will dye different types of fabric and yarn to see how each fiber accepts the color. Each student will walk away with color samples.
