Flash Cadillac has been playing traditional rock and roll for the fun of it for over 50 years! The band started in Boulder, CO in the spring of 1969 as Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids, workingat fraternity parties, college functions and night clubs.

With appearances in George Lucas’ iconic movie “American Graffiti” in 1973, a “Happy Days” episode in 1975, and in Francis Coppola’s “Apocalypse Now” in 1979, Flash Cadillac became a national attraction, entertaining at colleges, rock concerts and festivals and corporate events over the span of two decades.

In 1992, in collaboration with the Colorado Springs Symphony conducted by Christopher Wilkins, Flash created a classic-rock orchestra pops program which they’ve performed with more than seventy symphonies from coast to coast. Having recorded twelve albums (from vinyl to eight-track to cassette to CD), they’re truly ‘Legends in their Own Minds’. Flash Cadillac was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2012 and celebrated their 50th Anniversary in the spring of 2019 with a sold-out concert in Colorado Springs.

Recent lineup additions include Puebloan Dave Carleo (2018) on piano, keyboards, sax and vocals, and Kasey Phillips of Colorado Springs (2019) on guitar, percussion and vocals. (Kasey is the son of original founding member Linn V. Phillips III, who passed away in 1993.) Carleo and Phillips join long-time members Warren Knight, Dwight Bement, Dave “Thumper” Henry and Rocky Mitchell as Flash Cadillac continues their ongoing legacy as ‘Keepers of the Flame’ of traditional rock and roll.
