Join us for Tracy Kuonen's new exhibit entitled, 'Water.

Tracy Kuonen is an artist that is passionate about the process of abstract painting. She expresses her love of color and her obsession for mark making boldly in her work while still hanging on to an intelligent sense of form and design.

Tracy’s painting practice is an intuitive one that is inspired through a thought or idea, emotion, or life experience. Her most recent series of work “Water” is the first of four that will relate to the elements Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. It represents the poetic complexity, myth, and symbolisms that water holds.

Tracy has a BFA in painting from John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has also studied painting and drawing at Hunan Normal University in Changsha, China through a travel scholarship.

Tracy has shown her work in several group and solo shows since 2004 and currently lives and works in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she is a studio painter at Cottonwood Center for the Arts.
