Ignite your child’s curiosity with a reading of “The Great Migration” by Eloise Greenfield and a craft!
After the Civil War millions of African Americans left their homes in the South in search of a better life. Explore the stories of individuals and families in Colorado Springs who played many roles in shaping the city we live in today.
We’ll read “The Great Migration” by Eloise Greenfield and participate in activities and crafts related to transportation and movement.
Children ages 3-6 and their favorite adult are invited to explore regional history through story time, a family-friendly tour, activity, and craft.
Make a morning of it! After the event learn through play in our interactive “Trade at Bent’s Fort” children’s exhibit or explore the museum with Max the Marmot by picking up a Picture Hunt at the front desk.
