Many of us know what it’s like to have our truths, identity, and experiences denied.  For the goal of this workshop, we will allow ourselves to create personal validations with process painting.

If you ever felt your inner truth was suppressed or your desire to free your true self has been unfulfilled, give yourself the opportunity to use art as a tool to release what you have buried. In the past, we may have been “shamed” into keeping our truths hidden, but with art there is no shaming. Embrace that little voice and let it be your story.

This class is facilitated by Jen Ross.

Bio:

Art is always a part of me.  Any periods in my life without art had been detrimental to my health and well-being, because of this I want to offer others the gift of art making to share the joy and the healing it brings. I studied at San Jose State University and completed my degree in Art Education. I’m currently an elementary art teacher. I dabble in all mediums, but I’m most passionate about painting. I usually paint whatever gives me joy.  Pet portraits are a common subject I do, because I find pets to be just as therapeutic as art. When I am not doing my art, my heart and eyes are continuously observing what creative possibilities are before me.
