POSTPONED: Wilderness and Remote First Aid

Presented by El Paso County Parks at Bear Creek Nature Center

This class has been postponed until the Fall with dates TBD.

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid course is to provide individuals a foundation of first aid principals and skills to be able to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS) response.

Topics covered will range from dealing with trauma, medical and environmental emergencies in a remote location as well as calling for help and evacuation considerations.

Designed for scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 16 years old and hold current adult CPR certification.
