“AstroTurf” is about creating oneself through the understanding of the worlds we inhabit. The artificial worlds that we experience are often more appealing than reality, this is about imprinting that dream world within reality.

About the artist:
Jacob Scott is a visual artist residing on the Front Range. Scott creates works with direct and physical materials including paint, ceramic, fiber, and wood to create work driven by perception of the material and feelings of self. Drawing on themes of pop culture, psychology, sexuality, nature, and identity he creates work that expresses his ideas about reality through the structures of culture and social behavior. After graduating from UCCS with his BA in Visual Arts in 2017, he has been showing locally in group and solo shows.
