Pikes Peak Writers Virtual Writing Class

Pikes Peak Writers Virtual Writing Class

Presented by Pikes Peak Writers at Online/Virtual Space

This class is all about how to pitch your book while diving into loglines, synopses, and queries that hook and hold your audience.

This half-day event will help you pitch your book to an agent, editor or future reader, with tools for perfecting your logline, synopsis and query letter. If you are already working on these items, that's perfect!

Author Chris Mandeville will help you hone your logline, the one-sentence description of your book that will hook agents as well as prospective readers.

Author David R. Slayton will teach you some techniques for taming the dreaded synopsis and making writing it more manageable.

Author and freelance editor James Persichetti will leverage his experience working for the Nelson Literary Agency to teach you how to write an effective, professional query letter.

This workshop will be divided into three sections of approximately 70 minutes each. The last twenty minutes of each presenter's workshop will be dedicated to working with attendees wanting additional help in their area of expertise.

When you register for the class, you will receive instructions on how to submit your logline, 1-page synopsis or 1-page query letter for additional feedback.

Please note that we cannot take reservations after 6 p.m. on April 9. You must register in advance to get the event invitation which allows you to sign in.
