The instructor for this class is Sandy Craddock.

Walk in Beauty! Warp and weave a small rug using traditional materials and tools. Weave at home after learning weaving techniques in a warm and relaxed class atmosphere.

You will be introduced to the washing, carding, spinning and dyeing of wool. Discover the stories and traditions of Native peoples as it applies to weaving along with design and color aesthetics of traditional Navajo rugs. "

Rental Looms:

If you wish to rent a small loom for the duration of the course the rental fee is $10.00. Please contact me as soon as possible.

For Rental Loom Only (Dowels can be cut to size at home depot):

• 2 – ¼” dowels 18” long

Loom Building:

If you are building your own loom please contact me (tom_sandy@comcast.net) for loom instructions. Size of dowels and brackets you will need are included in the instructions

Class Level: Fascination – These classes will introduce you to a new skill, concept or technique and are open to all levels. The student may, however, be required to have a basic skill or have taken a certification class. For example, for a flat-pattern drafting class one need not know anything about flat-pattern drafting but should have a basic understanding of the sewing machine. Any prerequisites will be listed in the class description.
