Each week our team will feature several movies from PPLD’s streaming movie service, Kanopy, then host curated discussions about the selected movies. View the movie anytime leading up to the discussion, which will take place using Zoom. Charade

In this equally thrilling and romantic classic, Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn), falls for the dashing Peter Joshua (Cary Grant) while on holiday inthe French Alps.  Her newfound romace is interrupted, however upon her return home, where it is revaled that her husband has been murdered.  Regina and Peter soon find themselves pursued by her husband's World War II cronies, Tex, Scobie, and Gideon, who are after the quarter of a million dollars the quartet stold while behind enemy lines.

Hearts Beat Loud (2018, 98 min, PG-13)

In the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook, single dad and record store owner Frank (Nick Offerman) is preparing to send his hard-working daughter Sam (Kiersey Clemons) off to college, while being forced to close his shop. Hoping to stay connected through their shared musical passions, Frank urges Sam to turn their weekly “jam sesh” into a father-daughter live act.
