Virtual Write Brain: A Peek Behind the Critique Group Curtain

Virtual Write Brain: A Peek Behind the Critique Group Curtain

Presented by Pikes Peak Writers at Online/Virtual Space

The Rose-Colored Ink critique group began in 1991 as The Wyrd Sisters when Pikes Peak Romance Writers started an open critique group. They’re still going strong today! Not only have these ladies supported each other professionally and personally over the years, but they’ve combined creative forces to create The Dogwood Series,a sweet romance series featuring a matchmaking dog.

The first half of the presentation will talk about how the group formed, how it operates, and how it has functioned over time and distance, through good times and bad. The second half will address the creation of Dogwood, a series of novels and short stories written by various members of the group, all set in the fictitious town of Dogwood, Colorado.

You’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions from four of the eight members of this long-standing and successful group!

Speakers will be Laura Hayden, Pam McCutcheon, Angel Smits, and Jodi Anderson, four of the longest term members (Karen Fox has technical issues otherwise she’d be in this group as one of the series creators.)
