Arts Month Community Conversation: Visual Arts as Activism

Arts Month Community Conversation: Visual Arts as Activism

Presented by Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region at Online/Virtual Space

Artists, galleries and museums can play significant roles as arbiters of change and growth in a community. The myth of the lone artist and aloof gallery/museum setting is just that – community-building is where it’s at. This panel will explore ways artists and arts professionals in our region have played a vital part in our community and how they can continue to make positive shifts, together.

Moderator
Daisy McGowan, Director - UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art

Gregg Deal - Contemporary Artist
Jasmine Dillavou - Boricua Mixed-Media Artist
