Peak FreQuency Presents: UCCS Choir and Symphony

Peak FreQuency Presents: UCCS Choir and Symphony

Presented by UCCS Visual and Performing Arts: Music Program at UCCS - The Heller Center

Solveig Olsen is the director of the UCCS University Choir. Dr. Glen C. Whitehead is the director of the UCCS Orchestra.

Reimagining live music during COVID, this music is constructed for artists and audience to wander the Heller Center landscape while practicing expansive social distancing. Audience members will be guided to various areas to wander freely or sit comfortably.

Please join the University Choir along with the brand new UCCS Orchestra in a truly unique concert setting as they perform a range of carefully chosen repertoire for an outside, ultra-distanced, flexible performance.

Programming includes “Four Meditations for Orchestra,” by Pauline Oliveros, “In a Large, Open Space” by James Tenney, “Ave Verum,” by Mozart, Zambian traditional song, and French traditional songs.
