Learn how to effectively operate your camera to allow yourself to focus more on creating your art and photographing what you love.
This class is taught by local artist Dan Regalado.
Have you ever looked at your camera and been confused by all the buttons? Well, in this workshop we will be going over all the basics of camera operation so that you can know what those buttons are and how they will affect the ending image result. From aperture, shutter speed, and iso to basic composition we will learn and then put into practice all that knowledge to create an image that you love!
Bring your favorite camera (preferably a DSLR) but any camera will work from simple point and shoots, to higher end digital. Double check that you have an SD card as well as a full battery. I would prefer to stick to digital for this workshop so we can review images, but if you only have a film camera, bring that and we can discuss some developing options! Also dress appropriately for the weather. We will be walking outside in the gorgeous Old Colorado City, so double check if you will need a jacket. Lastly, bring a notebook to jot down notes.
This class includes a guided photo walk, a critique, as well as a 8×12 print available for pick up after the workshop.
