Come see PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom’s Medal of Honor on display at the CSPM.
Earlier this year, the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum announced another new theme in its Story of Us: The Pikes Peak Region A – Z digital exhibit, F = Floyd Lindstrom. In honor of Veterans Day, PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom’s Medal of Honor will be on display in the Museum's permanent exhibit.
Growing up at the Myron Stratton Home, Lindstrom learned early on to “put the other fellow first.” He carried this motto, along with a tremendous amount of courage and determination, during his service in World War II. As a result, Lindstrom was awarded the Medal of Honor – the nation’s highest honor – and earned the nickname, the “one-man army.”
Visitors will be able to see his medal up close and learn more about this American hero and WWII Medal of Honor recipient.
