The Machine Shop is proud to present ‘Heirlooms’ a collection of new work by Jem Brock!
Please join us on Friday, November 6 from 6-9 p.m., in person with limited entrance.
We will have new work by local artist, Jem Brock, will also be visible and available for purchase online. With titles such as Prayer, Bedtime Stories, and What Comes After, the pieces in Heirlooms function like symbolism in storytelling.
Using the language of abstraction in both sculptures and prints, Jem manipulates the historic role of the tied knot as a binding agent in commentary on the ancestral and hereditary. Heirlooms is a body of work about what we inherit from our families, objects to be discovered in the dusty corners of attics.
