*Philosophy in the City: Future of War

Presented by UCCS Downtown at UCCS Downtown

Are space wars on the horizon? Will future wars be fought by robots? Is the distinction between soldier and civilian obsolete? Can international law even be applied to cyber- and bio- warfare? Should the military be privatized? Will the next world war be fought over climate change?

Join us for a live virtual discussion of these and other issues surrounding the future of war on Friday, November 6, 2020, from 5:30-7pm MST. Our featured panelists will comment on the changing nature of war and the military, paying special attention to the fact that the United States and other Global North countries are seemingly caught in “forever wars” in the Middle East. This live virtual event is free and open to all; please register to receive the livestream link. Part of the Philosophy in the City series, hosted by UCCS Philosophy.
