Due to unforeseen staffing and volunteer issues, the Great Fruitcake Toss - originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 22 - has been postponed to Saturday, January 29.

The fruitcakes will fly again in downtown Manitou Springs!

Join us for old fashioned games of tossing fruitcakes! It all started in 1996 with locals throwing fruitcakes in the park, and 27 years later, here we are. Events will be pure feats of strength, talent, balance and taste!

Help us stock the shelves at the St Andrews Manitou Springs Food Pantry! For every (non-expired) item of canned or non-perishable food, you will receive a ticket to toss at one of the events. 10 tickets max per family, please.

Cool Science will be returning with their popular kids mini fruitcake catapults! Build one during the toss and take it home with you to carry on the fruitcake fun.

Have a fruitcake in the house? Bring it with you and visit our tech inspect team to be sure you’re in the 1-lb range for your rectangular sized cake. No fruitcake hanging around? Rent one for $5, that includes 5 tickets to toss!
