Join the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature center for the annual Bighorn Sheep Day!
Garden of the Gods Park is hosting its 16th annual Bighorn Sheep Day on Saturday, February 13. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join this virtual event to learn more about Colorado’s state mammal, the Rocky Mountain big horn sheep.
Live video streaming of the famed Rampart Range herd, which lives in and around Garden of the Gods Park, will be available on the Garden of the Gods Park Facebook page at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. (MT). These are wild animals and no one really knows exactly when or where they’ll show up, but rangers will be posted near known visiting locations to bring the herd to you as they’re able.
There will also be big horn sheep activity sheets, including various puzzles, challenges and coloring sheets, available on the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center website starting February 13, providing a fun activity for people of all ages.
Even though Big Horn Sheep Day is being celebrated virtually this year, the park and Visitor & Nature Center are open daily to the public.
