Colorado artists based in El Paso or Teller Counties are invited to learn more about becoming Artist Facilitators for the Military Arts Connection (MAC) program.
Colorado artists based in El Paso or Teller Counties are eligible to apply to participate in the MAC program by training to become Artist Facilitators. All creative media are welcome, and Artist Facilitators will set their own fees and arrange all program logistics and activities around their own schedules. No previous teaching experience is required, but a strong desire to serve and support our local military community is a must.
Interested artists will be required to complete 1/2 day MAC training session (currently conducted virtually), presented by the UCCS Veterans Health & Trauma Clinic. Registration is now open for the next virtual training on Friday, October 29th from 8:30AM-1PM. All incoming Artist Facilitators will also be required to complete a FBI background check prior to attending the training session. The process is easy, and the cost for the background check will be reimbursed by the MAC program upon successful completion of Artist Facilitator training and setup of your profile on the MAC website.
Upon successful completion of training, new Artist Facilitators will be officially registered on the MAC website, and may list up to five (5) creative Experiences that they wish to share with local military service members, veterans, and/or their families. More details will be provided during training. To learn more about the MAC program, please visit www.MilitaryArtsConnection.org.
