“A Midsummer Stroll Through the Old North End” invites visitors on a tour of select home gardens in a favorite part of town.
The primary fundraising activity for FOX is its annual garden tour. Since the tour’s inception in 2011, this popular event has been in various Colorado Springs locations, including Village Seven, the West Side, the Old North End, Patty Jewett, the Broadmoor, and north central Colorado Springs.
The 2021 tour, "A Midsummer Stroll," revisits the Old North End and celebrates the city's sesquicentennial.
Tour attendees observe various gardening practices including water conservation, xeriscaping, deer-resistant techniques and raising vegetables.
Expert gardeners are available at each of the gardens to answer questions about plants and good gardening practices.
Plein Air Garden Artists and live music augment the experience.
$25 per ticket, ages 12 and up. (Eleven and under, free.)
Tickets available through Eventbrite.com beginning May 1 and in select area garden centers on June 1.
