'The Stations of the Cross: In Atonement for Abuse and for the Healing of All'

Presented by Cottonwood Center for the Arts at Cottonwood Center for the Arts

Cottonwood is pleased to present the works of Ronald Patrick Raab, C. S. C. for the month of May.

Fr. Raab created these works as an invitation to a wounded church to contemplate the stations of the cross and the experience of clerical abuse survivors through his lens of artistic interpretation. The paintings are each designed to accompany one of the fourteen stations. Fr. Raab uses primary colors, bold textures, and a combination of methods, including finger painting, brushes, and rags to create these impactful impressionistic works.

Ronald Patrick Raab, C. S. C., ministers among the vulnerable and marginalized of society and the church. From his experiences in living the Gospel among the poor, he speaks and writes about prayer, service and knowing the love of God through common poverty. He is active as a retreat director, blogger, award-winning author, and visual artist. Father Ron serves as pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Show will be on display through May 29th.
