Come see the big beautiful metal butterflies and dragonflies installed around Pioneers Museum on Friday, September 3, 2021.
For the 14th year, Rotary of Colorado Springs will reveal the beautifully designed butterflies and dragonflies, created by local artists in the Colorado Springs area! These wondrous structures will be auctioned live on the club's YouTube channel, Rotary Club Colorado Springs on September 25, 2021.
Inside Pioneers Museum, the tabletop size "petite" butterflies will be on display. After the Reveal evening, you can see the petite butterflies in the window of the Lawrence Dryhurst Gallery at 122 E Kiowa. The Petite's will be auctioned by online bidding. Come pick your favorites, eat from the food truck and hang out with local artists and Rotarians.
The net revenue from Flight benefits School District 11 Arts & Science programs and service projects for D11 and the entire city. Examples are need-based and athletic scholarships, outstanding teacher awards, elementary school reading programs, a Mock Trial competition and dental care for children.
