Poetry and Pottery is back! Please join us in Soda Springs Park in Manitou on Tuesdays, June 8 through July 13, from 12-2 for our beloved summer event!

Poetry Heals mentors will facilitate poetry writing workshops, including individual and community poems. Meanwhile, potter Mark Wong will instruct participants on the throwing wheel to help them craft their own works of pottery. Works will then be taken to the studio to be glazed and fired and will be available for pickup back at the park!

Thanks to grants from Colorado Creative Industries and the Manitou Art Culture and History Fund (with funding from City of Manitou Springs Sales and Use Tax approved by the voters in 2019), as well as winnings from Emerald Fields' Choose Your Charity Contest, we are happy to offer this event to the public free of charge!
