Join us Aug. 28-29 at Stratton Open space for free family-friendly guided hikes, educational activities, and the opportunity to work with scientists!
On Aug. 28-29 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. each day, join us for a BioBlitz at Stratton Open Space!
What is a BioBlitz? It's a super fun event for scientists, naturalists, and community volunteers to come together to get a snapshot of an area’s biodiversity. Together, we will record all the flora, fauna, and fungi we can find in the easy-to-use iNaturalist app. Collected data will then be analyzed and used for land management planning and trend monitoring. There will also be guided hikes and special evening programs for bat and moth monitoring.
Plus, there will be dozens of booths in the main gathering area where you can learn more about science and our natural environment.
