Fall Equinox Hike

Fall Equinox Hike

Presented by Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center at Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center

What does the Equinox mean for us on Earth and what did it mean to civilizations before clocks and computers? Learn how ancient civilizations used the Moon and stars as their religious and agricultural calendar.

This hike will be guided by volunteers from the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society. This 2 hour, approximately 3-mile hike will start at the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center.

Telescopes for night sky viewing will be available after the hike. Dress for the weather with good hiking shoes! Red flashlights only please! (We’ll have flashlights for attendees to use.)

Meet outside the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center.

Note: This event requires advance paid registration and space is limited. Tickets are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. No Refunds. We follow State and Local COVID-19 Guidelines. For the most up-to-date guidelines click here.
