Join the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society for a fun look at our seasonal changes.
What does the Equinox mean for us on Earth and what did it mean to civilizations before clocks and computers? Learn how ancient civilizations used the Moon and stars as their religious and agricultural calendar.
This hike will be guided by volunteers from the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society. This 2 hour, approximately 3-mile hike will start at the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center.
Telescopes for night sky viewing will be available after the hike. Dress for the weather with good hiking shoes! Red flashlights only please! (We’ll have flashlights for attendees to use.)
Meet outside the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center.
