Andi Drobny

Presented by Bar-K at Bar-K

This month's First Friday's at Bar-K featured artist is: local painter and activist, Andi Drobny. Brought to you by Josh The Curator.

In addition to this amazing solo show, he is currently creating an amazing mural of hometown hero Elvira in the Knob Hill Urban Arts District!

Andi Drobny is an artist and a Colorado Springs Native and Graduate of Palmer Highschool. He spent half his life thus far in Portland Oregon, graduating with two undergraduate degrees one in Art History and one in fine arts with a specialization in oil painting. Art history, and a passion for social justice are foundational inspirations for his work.

Moving back to Colorado Springs in 2018 to be close to family he has shown previously at ARTMA 2020 and was planning on building from that success when Covid hit. As an artist he seeks to redefine and reinvigorate the old form of history paintings with both a contemporary style informed by both the 20 th and 21 st centuries and seeking a contemporary eye to examine social cultural and art history while reaching for social Justice.

The exhibition will be followed by local groove-funk band MR3.
