Bilingual Latinx Heritage Month and Non-binary Princess Story Time

Presented by Lil' Miss Story Hour at Soda Springs Park

On Saturday September 25, 2021, Lil’ Miss Story Hour will host story time at the 1st Annual Dear Summer Fest! Tickets must be purchased to enter the gates of 1st Annual Dear Summer Fest festival. Tickets for Dear Summer Fest are available HERE.  Lil' Miss Story Hour will be celebrating the beauty of Latinx culture as well as the joy of gender expression with a variety of artists, art forms, crafts, presenters, and picture books! Explorations include but are not limited to writing, illustrations, mathematics, music, and social experiences.

Book selections will include “Me, Frida" by Amy Novesky; "Pink is for Boys" by Robb Pearlmann; "Maiden and Princess" by Daniel Haack; and "Phoenix Goes to School," by Michelle Finch and Phoenix Finch.

Our special guests will be, Poet and Activist, Xarly El Collibri MC; Spoken Word Poet and Rap Musician, Elimence; and Art Educator and Artist, Tara Gonzalez.

This story time event is open to the public, however, donations are strongly encouraged! Donations will be accepted for in-person attendees when they RSVP, as well as on site, the day of the event.
